About The Dempsey Challenge
The Dempsey Challenge is the flagship fundraiser for the Dempsey Center, founded by actor Patrick Dempsey, who grew up in Maine. He wanted to help provide wrap-around support and care for people impacted by cancer after experiencing his own cancer impact when his mom, Amanda, was diagnosed in 1997. Several members of Bowdoinham Rowing family have benefited from the free services offered by the Dempsey Center and we want to help give back. Find out more about the Dempsey Center’s work HERE.
Dempsey Challenge organizers have added a virtual option to the bike/run happening on September 20th and members of our club have chosen to row and raise funds. Your $45 registration for our Social Row will be added to our team’s fundraising effort for the Dempsey Challenge. Thank you!
Would you like to make an even deeper financial commitment to the work of this organization? Consider making an additional donation HERE. Want to add to our team’s fundraising efforts leading up to the September 20th Challenge? Consider joining our fundraising team as a “virtual challenger” and solicit your own friends and family.
